Mortgage and Location Surveys
The purpose of Mortgage and Location Surveys are to provide the interested party with a map of a property showing the building and improvements plotted on a map with the parcel’s boundary lines. This type of survey can be used to check for encroachments, zoning violations, and other possible issues concerning the parcel. A location survey is commonly ordered by homeowners, real estate agents, real estate attorneys, and title professionals. This type of survey is sometimes called an as-built survey.
